Our dentist
Dr. Leila Perea-Lowery, is a specialist in cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry from Colombia who has been practicing dentistry since 1998. She earned her DDS from the University of Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, and specialized in prosthetic dentistry at the University of Valle in Cali, Colombia. She was awarded a PhD at the University of Turku in Finland for work which led to improvements in the strength and mechanical function of highly specialized dental prostheses. Dr. Perea-Lowery also holds an MBA degree from the same university.
Dr. Perea-Lowery has worked with globally renowned key opinion leaders in dentistry. Some include Dr. Wally Renne, MOD Institute (USA) and Prof. Dr. Mutlu Özcan, Head of Dental Biomaterials, University of Zürich (Switzerland). She has also worked closely with Prof. Dr. Pekka Vallittu, one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of dental prosthetics.
Dr. Perea-Lowery has published widely in scientific journals and maintains an academic affiliation with the Turku School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Professor. Dr. Perea-Lowery’s industry experience includes leading dental education content development for Finnish dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca, and experience as the Director of R&D at Skulle Implants, a Finnish dental manufacturer of craniofacial implants. Dr. Perea-Lowery is a member of the Finnish Dental Society Apollonia.
